Oman has presented a new diplomatic proposal to Gulf nations aimed at ending Iran's sole control over the Strait of Hormuz by implementing a voluntary fee-sharing model.
The plan, modeled after the Malacca Strait management, has reportedly gained backing from several Gulf states as a means to de-escalate regional tensions.
Iran is currently hosting high-level talks with Saudi and Omani officials to discuss the proposal, which could serve as a catalyst for broader peace negotiations.
