Haryana Police STF seized 25,000 live cartridges from two cars near Rohad toll plaza in Jhajjar and arrested five suspects from Budaun on Tuesday.
The haul included 24,400 cartridges of 7.65mm and .315 bore, identified as the third-biggest ammunition seizure pan-India in 25 years.
Police stated the cartridges were manufactured in Pune and smuggled from Sirsa to supply illegal arms manufacturers and criminal gangs in UP and Bihar.
