The funds were released under the 'College with Potential for Excellence' scheme between 2010 and 2015, but the college has failed to provide mandatory account details despite repeated reminders.

The UGC has threatened to recover the entire grant amount with interest if the college does not immediately furnish the required financial documentation and advisory committee proceedings.
