The Telangana government ordered the removal of eligible private properties from the Section 22-A prohibited list on Thursday, enabling their registration and benefiting around 1.41 lakh houses and plots.
Principal secretary Lokesh Kumar issued the orders following a meeting led by deputy chief minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, allowing registration for properties with valid layout, building, or apartment approvals.
District-level committees headed by collectors have been formed to scrutinise individual cases based on revenue records, statutory approvals, title documents, and the legal status of the land.
