Mother and Newborn Die at Rewa Hospital Amid Negligence Allegations

A 25-year-old woman named Kalpana Mishra and her newborn died at Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, following a caesarean section performed on Wednesday.

The family alleged medical negligence and rude behavior by staff, citing a viral video where the patient expressed fear for her life hours before the delivery.

Hospital authorities suspended two nursing officers and formed an investigation committee, while a panel of doctors from the district hospital is scheduled to conduct post-mortem examinations.
