North Zone was dismissed for 195 on the opening day of the Duleep Trophy semifinal against South Zone on August 30, with Vidhwath Kaverappa claiming 4 wickets for 66 runs.

Qamran Iqbal provided the only significant resistance for North Zone with a score of 76, while South Zone ended the day at 40/2, trailing by 155 runs with N. Jagadeesan unbeaten on 34.

In the other semifinal, Central Zone reached 266 against East Zone, anchored by Rinku Singh’s 60 off 88 balls and a late 30-run contribution from Yash Thakur.
