US Intelligence Chief Warns Iran's Plots Against Americans Reached Advanced Stages

US National Intelligence Director Jay Clayton warned that Iran has substantially increased efforts to target American personnel in the Middle East and other countries.

Clayton stated in a memo to Secretary of State Marco Rubio that lethal plotting efforts by Iranian actors against US citizens have reached advanced stages.

The warning followed Washington's order for non-essential US embassy staff and families to leave Saudi Arabia amid escalating attacks from Yemen's Houthis.
