Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A P Singh stated that Pakistan's collaboration with China on fifth-generation fighter jets is a cause for concern for India.
Singh noted that the Indian Air Force possesses the necessary capabilities to counter this threat for now and must accelerate the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft programme.
India is looking to finalise the multi-role fighter aircraft deal for 114 Rafale jets from France within the current financial year.
