Lashkar-e-Taiba Commander Yasir Killed in Budgam Encounter

Joint security forces neutralized a Lashkar-e-Taiba commander identified as Yasir during an intelligence-based operation in the Yousmarg area of Budgam district on Saturday.

The operation was conducted by the Special Forces and 53 Rashtriya Rifles following reports of the operative's presence in the region's upper reaches.

Security agencies are currently investigating Yasir's network and potential involvement in recent terror activities after he split from the Sulaiman Musa group nearly one year ago.
