Scientists at CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) have developed a powerful new genetic toolkit to study Tuberculosis (TB) bacteria.
The toolkit includes 40 new shuttle vectors equipped with fluorescent markers, enabling researchers to track proteins within bacterial cells.
This system allows scientists to switch genes on, monitor protein interactions, and accelerate understanding of how the TB bacterium survives and causes disease.
