National Award-winning singer Shilpa Rao's microphone was cut off mid-performance at the Bollywood Music Project in Mumbai on Saturday.
The All Indian Cine Workers Association issued a statement strongly condemning the humiliation and pledging legal support to the singer.
The incident sparked widespread backlash after organizers abruptly ended her set and transitioned to the next act while she was still on stage.
