The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration has suspended the licences of three Mumbai blood banks for three to five days for distributing Titan watches as donor gifts.
The violation occurred at an April voluntary blood donation camp organized by the Young Star Committee in breach of National Blood Transfusion Council guidelines.
Blood centres at Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals and Nair Hospital appealed their suspension orders before the State Government and obtained temporary legal stays.
