The Congress claimed victory in more reserved urban local body seats than the BJP in Rajasthan, attributing the gains to voter backlash over the alleged purification ritual targeting Mallikarjun Kharge.
Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra reported winning 542 Scheduled Caste reserved wards compared to the BJP's 350, alongside 261 SC women wards and 53 ST seats.
Dotasra criticized the delimitation process as illegal, noting that the BJP won 1,316 wards by margins under 100 votes and 772 wards by margins under 50 votes.
