IMD warns of cyclonic storm forming over Bay of Bengal by October 26

A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is forecast by the IMD to intensify into a cyclonic storm by Monday morning, October 26, 2026.

The weather system is expected to move west-northwestwards and cross towards the north Andhra Pradesh and adjoining south Odisha coasts.

The IMD has issued orange alerts for heavy to very heavy rainfall across districts in Coastal Andhra Pradesh starting from October 27.
