Manchester United suffered a 0-2 defeat against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League following goals from Pablo Barrios and Ademola Lookman and a red card for Leny Yoro.
The loss extends United's winless run to five matches and mounts severe pressure on manager Michael Carrick regarding his future at the club.
Defender Lisandro Martinez publicly criticized technical director Jason Wilcox after the match, demanding more signings and support from the club hierarchy to compete.
