Bayelsa State Introduces Scrabble and Chess in Schools

Bayelsa State is introducing scrabble and chess into secondary school curricula to enhance students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The initiative, directed by Governor Douye Diri, will be implemented through a train-the-trainer program where sports council coaches mentor teachers.

The Ministry of Sports Development and the Ministry of Education are collaborating to organize the state's maiden Secondary Schools Scrabble Championship.
