The State Tiger Strike Force recovered 21 protected turtles, including 19 Indian Pond turtles and two Star Tortoises, in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on Wednesday.
The recovery followed intelligence provided by arrested interstate wildlife smuggling suspect Raunak Juneja after his surrender before the Chief Judicial Magistrate of Indore.
Authorities have arrested five suspects in total during the ongoing investigation, recovering 54 turtles and a live Rose-ringed Parakeet so far.
