New Delhi exhibition showcases vintage and contemporary phulkari

Textile designer and revivalist Sunaina Suneja curated an exhibition titled 'Phulkari: A Lingering Presence' at the India International Centre in Delhi, running until October 1, 2026.

The showcase features vintage and contemporary pieces displayed in reverse to highlight the traditional thread-counting embroidery method and emotional expression behind the craft.

Suneja's research explores regional identities, motifs, and historical variations like chande bagh, pachranga, and darshan dwara.
